Manufactures Fall Halt

The US manufacturing production indicator increased 0.4% monthly in June, adding two consecutive months of increases, after four months of negative data. However, the index is at levels lower than December 2018, when it reached its post-crisis maximum.

Known regional indicators for NY and Philadelphia show an improvement in the July survey compared to the previous month.

This same pattern is observed in Europe, where the monthly advance to May is 0.9%, an advance of 2.1% compared to December 2018, but less than a year earlier.

Manufacturing in Mexico has been resistant to high uncertainty. They advance to May 1% compared to last December. The production of computer equipment stands out with a growth of 6%, and the automotive 1.8%.
